So Close

Besides the fact that it is so close to summer and everything is a big blur (blur), my life is pretty interesting if you aren’t me (everything is too blurry to be interesting to me).  Some of the things that I actually remember are the 5th and 6th Grade Arts Night and the Bays #1 regatta last weekend.
The concert was really fun.  We played Birdland and Night In Tunisia.  We played really well.  Here is a video of it: Birdland.  Birdland got the most applause for any song that night.
The regatta was fine, not the most fun, but I enjoyed it a little bit.  The first race of the regatta was the longest race I have ever raced, it was 1 hour and 15 minutes.  It was held at Sequoia Yacht Club (Redwood Shores) and all the races were really windy.  Here is a video of my regatta: windward mark rounding.
I really don’t have much else to say, because as I said before, everything is a big blur.

Opening Day on the Bay 2011

This is the boat I was on for Opening Day on the Bay, May 1, 2011.  We won the boat decoration for jrs, there were only two other boats competing.  It was a pretty beautiful day and there were a lot of boats!

This is the boat that opened up the parade.  You could see the water shooting out from it like a fountain, even if you were far away.  It is a fire boat. Here is the link to the results of the parade Opening Day on the Bay 2011 Results.

Recently, I got a new pickup for my violin (something that you can use to amplify an acoustic violin). The pickup is really great and it makes it so you can actually hear me in jazz band. We have a concert coming up this Friday for assembly where we are going to play Birdland and Night in Tunisia.
